JAC's EPMA Wins Technology Innovation Award

JAC have been presented with the 2009 European e-Prescription Systems Technology Innovation Award by Frost & Sullivan (F&S). The award was based on research by F&S's own analysts and recognises JAC for continuously innovating and upgrading individual disciplines of e-prescription technology.

The award citation reads: "The company's innovative technology, coupled with uncompromising customer support, contribute to JAC's success in medicines management and makes their EPMA the most trusted e-prescribing solution among the United Kingdom's (UK) hospitals. JAC's technology provides clinicians with a solution that can manage the entire medicines therapy data in one system; assuring care provider organisations that the therapy documentation is done accurately, the appropriate safety checks are carried out and the results can be reviewed in real time. With over 25 years of expertise, JAC's medicines management technologies are in phase with the changing healthcare environment."

On being presented with the award, Robert Tysall-Blay, JAC's CEO, commented: "It is very gratifying that the work done over the years in conjunction with our clients has led to the recognition it deserves. We gratefully accept this award on behalf of all our staff and valued customers."

There was even more cause for celebration on the night as Intersystems, JAC's key technology partner, received the European Hospital Information System Customer Value Leadership Award for demonstrating high levels of customer satisfaction and increasing customer loyalty and retention through its enhanced product offering and customer service.

InterSystems has topped recent industry surveys on cost effectiveness, vendor executive involvement, job performance improvement, product quality rating and on-time implementation within budget.

Philip Birchall, InterSystems' Healthcare Business Development Director, added: "InterSystems is delighted to receive this Award, as it recognises our commitment to providing market-leading, connected healthcare software supported by a life-long partnership with our healthcare customers to help them meet the continually evolving challenges of this unique marketplace."
